Thanks for that information. I don't own a gun or air rifle, but the topic caught my attention so here I am.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm curious... where can someone legally fire an air rifle or any kind of air gun? Sorry for the novice question, but like I said, I don't own one but am just curious. Do they have air rifle ranges? Or do you have to go out somewhere in the boonies to shoot even an air gun? For kids who have BB guns and the like, where can they go to shoot it without getting into trouble?

I'd have to agree, back yards are nice... So long as there's parental supervision and such. Also be aware, you have just one "bad" nieghbor, every broken window will be blamed on "the family down the street with a pellet/bb gun".

If you have an unfinished basement, that might be even better. Out sight, out of mind and all that jazz. Not as much fun as being outside, but you'll end up with less hassles in the long run.

I picked up a bullet box made for 22's and shoot in my in-laws backyard. During the winter I shoot in their basement... It is a finished basement but I have a little 17 yard range. Basspro shop has a 25 yard rifle tube and that is where I shoot when I can't get to the in-laws.

Does anyone know a good place to get this information? I have hordes of rabbits that love to destroy young plants, but I also have a neighbor who is a D_ _ _! I promise, the gun would be used on the rabbits only

I shoot mine in the many undeveloped subdivisions in my town. I've had two different occasions where the local police stopped b but they were just making sure that I wasn't dumping anything. I also built my own pellet trap out of 2x4's works pretty good with my .177's. Soon I'll test it with my neighbors .22. I hope it holds up.
